Dear (waiting) Blog followers,
I know I 'promised' you a post and you've probably been anxiously waiting for it. Want to hear my row of excuses? Well one of them was that I didn't want to do it while we had visitors. Back to what I'm supposed to be writing.
On Friday we did one hour of schooling and our weekly cleaning before lunch. You might have guessed it but the cleaning sure didn't take long. After lunch we did some last minute things and by two o'clock we were off!!! We stopped at the job site for a list of stuff to bring the guys from Great Falls. No, I don't really know if that's what we went there for but that's what we got. We had a very interesting lady at the border. We always take a trailer along when we go shopping so she asked Daddy what we had in the trailer. Well we had our luggage in there and that's what Daddy told her. I think Daddy had already told her what we were going to Great Falls for so she asks, "Where are you going to put all your groceries if you have it full of luggage. Daddy hadn't told her that it was full of luggage. Later she looked into the trailer yet and I hope she saw that it wasn't full of luggage. Smile.
I had a book to read so it didn't seem like a very long time till we got to Great Falls. We stopped at Wal-Mart and then we went to Staybridge, our favorite motel. Mama had brought soup along and so she warmed up that and made sandwiches for supper there. After that we went swimming. It was a lot of fun. We had the swimming pool to ourselves for over an hour which was very nice.
The next morning we woke to a world of white. We 'broke our fast' with Staybridge's good breakfast and then went to Big R. We always enjoy this country type of store with everything from saddles to tools to clothing. Then we went to Scheels. Edgar wanted to see the bikes there because his is broken. The type of bike he would like was $700 on sale. Of course we decided that we were better off if we just left it there and waited for a better buy. Daddy bought us children each a snow and water tube except for Leandro. They are closed in the middle so that you don't fall through and go flipping the rest of the way down the hill. The girls (that's what we call Bianca and Imelda) got new shoes there too.
We did our major grocery shopping in Sam's Club and I had better say major. We spent half as much as the Duggar family does on one grocery trip. They spend $2000 and we did $1,100. Of course that's because everything is so much cheaper there so we buy a lot of one item. We had a lot of eyes on us with our 4 carts and our 'crowd' of children. We did a little more shopping in Wal-Mart (some birthday gifts included and then we went to On The Border. We like eating at this Mexican restaurant and try to make it there every time we go to Great Falls. By 4 o'clock we were done there and then we headed home. We had a smooth border crossing and got home at around eight I think. I was the traffic director. "That goes in the basement." "Yours goes in the freezer." and so forth. That was a lot of groceries to clean up but it was fun. I enjoyed organizing all of it.
Now all the groceries are cleaned up and I think the sleep is caught up but I think we're still busy. Today we are baby-sitting two little boys. Their sister and Mama went for a doctor's appointment. Leave you to figure that out.
I just finished baking a double recipe of ginger snaps. They are quite time consuming because I have to go every 12-13 minutes to change them but they're worth the effort. I enjoy making them. If anyone wants to know the recipe just comment and say so and I will put that recipe on here. Thanks for the comment Elizabeth (Is that right? We'll have to practice on writing our names right, eh?) I liked it that you like our new layout because Bianca told me in no uncertain terms to change it. I hope you other readers like it too.
So much for now,
Yesenia

Yes that is how you spell it. Maybe you could post some pictures and the recipe for the ginger snaps on here, then we could see them too.
