Tomorrow's the Big Day

The big day is the triplet's birthday. We are looking forward to it very much already. All the gifts stacked on the piano are just beckoning to be opened and I think that the givers are looking to it just as much (maybe more) than the receivers. We can hardly wait to see the looks on their faces as they open 'our' gift. Isn't the verse so true that it is more blessed to give than to receive?  I am getting very curious as to what Mama and Daddy are giving them. They have managed to keep it such a close secret. You know how it is to always have your eyes open when you go into a storage with many hiding places hoping that you might just find out where it is hidden? But then thinking, "No, I had better not look at it if I do find it because it's so much fun to also get a surprise on someone else's birthday." Well, as you can tell there is that certain undercurrent of excitement every day and now that it's only one more day...
On Sunday we found out that one of our 'young girls' is born again. She is twelve years old and is a very  sweet girl. She always likes it when I am with her and our sisters. I am always asked what I would like to do and on Sunday when we were at their house she told me, "I used to wish that Yesenia would be my big sister." It surprised me because I know that my sisters sometimes wish that I wouldn't be there to always remind them.
We girls went out and looked at their animals. They have a milk cow, two calves, three goats, two rabbits, two pigs, two dogs, a crowd of kittens, and a bunch of hens. My siblings always tease me (sometime almost in disgust) of my disgust for animals. When I accepted a rabbit to hold I actually surprised myself. But right there and then, with that soft rabbit in my arms, I decided that I would not voice my disgust so loudly anymore. That rabbit was so soft and being with their animals, having a goat butt me from behind and such like made me want a farm too. About the goats, they have one young male and two females. The girls had them on leashes, letting them walk around the yard (In our second snowfall) and as we were on the way to bring them to their pens again, I suddenly felt something bang into me. I didn't know while the girls would bump into me and, having been assured that their goats were gentle (especially the male), I was very surprised to see him behind me. He already had quite a big set of horns but I didn't get hurt. Katharina told me that he must not like my 'perfume' (smell). Ha, ha!
We girls spent the evening around the piano. I played and they sang. "That was an enjoyable way to spend an evening," my friend whom I got to know even better that evening told me as we were about to go home. Thank God for Katharina.
                                                                                                    Love,
                                                                                                            -Yesenia-
P.S. I am planning to post the first part of my continuing story soon.
