Samuel's Birthday Gift for the girls was a Happy Birthday Sign
made out of legos. (He's our Lego builder) |

Leandro whole-heartedly singing "A Happy Birthday to you." |
Dear Waiting Blog Readers,
Did I get you excited? I hope I did.
We got up on the birthday morning (not late of course) with
Everybody waiting for the 'birthday gifts'... |
excitement in the air. We were almost ready for breakfast when our Groszmama (Grandma) called to wish the triplets a happy birthday. She doesn't call very often and so Mama spent some time on the phone with her. Being it was almost breakfast and not knowing how long the phone call was going to last, we children walked around and tried to get time to go faster. Of course that didn't happen but finally breakfast time came. We usually do the birthday gifts at the breakfast table so after we were done eating, Daddy got up to get their birthday gifts. He came back with his hands behind his back and he sure had our attention. Then he started handing a Hershey chocolate to each of the children. "This birthday gift wasn't hard to buy," he said. American Hershey chocolates are special but of course we 'knew' that this couldn't be it. It wasn't. Soon Daddy and Mama came into the room and Daddy had something behind his back.
And 'happily' accepting a Hershey chocolate |
"Hopefully this isn't another prank," I'm sure a lot of us were thinking.
She looks pretty happy about a Hershey doesn't she? |
Happily displaying what he had been saving up for for a long
time, but now he got it free of charge. |
Daddy soon started to hand out a watch to each of the children. We have this trend in our house that everyone has to have a Timex watch and the triplet's each got one for their 8th birthday but Imelda and Edgar's had both given out. Now they each got a new one. All of a sudden, Daddy asks us, "When do you figure I bought them?" Well, we had some ideas but then Daddy said, "Remember when I went to check the price of yogurt in Wal-Mart in Great Falls, well, I came back with these watches in my pocket. I put them on the flour of the van and they were there the whole time." Mystery solved.

Edgar and his Hershey |
Finally. The real thing. |
Then Edgar opened his gifts. A pack of balloons from Leandro, a calender and stickers from Elfrieda, a car from Samuel, a miniature bail of hay and some decorations for it from the girls, and a
Zebra pen and lead pen from me. He had long wanted one of those "heavy-duty" lead pens so when I saw them in Wal-Mart I knew what I wanted to get for him.
The girls opened their gifts together. They each got a candle from Edgar, each a Reed diffuser from me, and each a bath set from our Tante Mariche. Our house and their rooms are sure smelling good.
For a treat, we only had to do 3/4 to 1 hour of schoolwork and then Mama took us to the library. I found a neat household tips booklet so I might do a post of tips here soon. We've been doing quite a bit of reading yesterday and today.
Our piano teacher always comes on Wednesday so when she came yesterday and heard that the triplets didn't have to do much school, she said, "Maybe they shouldn't have to have piano lessons today either."
"No," I told her, "Piano lessons are to much fun to skip."
The gift Edgar found the most confusing. |
Leandro's gift to Edgar. He told Edgar, "Once you open it,
you'll see balloons." Of course, he was right. |
Most of us had good piano lessons. We are preparing for a recital in December so that gives something different to the piano lessons.
This was in the top package. |
And this was in the bottom one. |
Samuel's gift. |
We had a good day but since there was a program that evening, we postponed the celebration to today's evening. We are looking forward to it. Willie and Marcie, Adolf and Annie, Grandma and Grandpa, and Gloria and Dave are planning are planning to come.
Some of the children went to get ice cream and I will have to decorate the cake that I baked yesterday today yet. That's the gift part of it. Hopefully I can get a post in of our celebration,
Yesenia

It was a car. |
The stickers from Elfie. |
And the calendar from Elfrieda. |
The pen and lead pen from me. |
Here the girls are opening the gift that Tante Mariche gave to me to give to them. |
"We like this." |
Even Daddy had to smell. |
What's going to be in here? |
"Reed Diffuser!" |
Her smile of thanks. |
They had to open this one together because this gift was for both of them. |
"I can see that this isn't just Emergen-C drink." |
"Mmmm, this smells good." |
Here Edgar had set up his decorations already. |
Edgar decided that since we now have so many Timex watches
he wanted to wear them all at the same time. I think he had 7 of
but I don't know if they're all on the picture. |
Good job Yesenia keep it up it's fun to read.
